Inspiration

Men love their country, not because it is great, but because it is their own.

— Lucius Annaeus Seneca Jr.

Seneca's thought is over 2.000 years old and is still understood by all people gathered under this heavenly sky, because it talks about belonging, about identity. However, our utmost interest is in Croatia – our cradle and our home. This is where we found the inspiration for our designs.
Along with other known Croatian writers, poets, politicians, bishops and soldiers, as well as generations of ordinary noble-hearted people, who over the centuries believed in and kept our unity and the values we had shaped and cherished over time, the timeless Roman philosopher also inspired us to be - Supercroatian.
We know that only some loves are imperishable, they are eternal. One of those is the love towards your homeland. This is why we have to know and remind ourselves about who we are and where we come from.
This is not to rise above others, but just to learn to appreciate our heritage, to better understand the world of which we are a part, and to live as a Supercroatian - to make our country and our families proud.
And to be a light for the people that cross our path in life.
In the hope that you will also be inspired by the feeling of true patriotism, we decided to bring it to you with modern designs on everyday clothes. If the Americans, English, Germans or Italians can do it, isn't it time after a century of waiting, that the Croats do it too?
Our collection is here to motivate and remind you even when the days are not filled with pride, glory and gold medals. Then it is all the more neccessary that we all stick together for what is important and above all - Croatia!

That is why we are so proud to present this collection of Croatian t-shirts where we strive to send a message of love and hope throughout Croatia, and to tell Croats around the world that the Homeland awaits their return.

We will be happy if the Supercroatian brand revives in you that hidden and unique sense of belonging, pride and love. Therefore, the next time you see the Croatian flag flying high in the air and you get that joyous feeling, smile and think of the word that means much more than just ordinary word. And that word is – Croatia.

The Croatian Lace (Čipka)

It belongs to traditional textile handicrafts intended for decorating women's traditional clothing and linen accessories. It has been widely used on folkore costumes or curtains, framed on the wall or covering the table, on linens as well as on jewelry. Originally it was part of liturgical attire, but thanks to Benedictine nuns who passed the skill on to women and girls in smaller rural areas in the 16th century, today, after almost 500 years, lace is part of the ethnographic heritage and is a Croatian national symbol. The lace from the island of Pag is the oldest one. It has exceptional beauty that is passed on from mother to daughter. The agave leaf thread and a draft without a previous design makes every lace from the island of Hvar unique. As well as the lace from Lepoglava made using „wooden tappers“ and linen thread, which bloomed at the end of the XIX century.

Lace is one of our 13 intangible items on UNESCO's „List of non-material cultural heritage“.
Show our lace to the world, let's keep this tradition and beautiful story about purity, strength and - identity.

The Interlace (Pleter)

It has been known since prehistoric times in Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Christian and Islamic art. It isn't only ours, but it is ours, because we embraced it and made it an important part of our national art. The Croatian interlace (or troplet) was a relief architectural decoration of sacral buildings in the pre-Romanesque, in the so-called old Croatian culture from the 9th to the 11th century. The most beautiful samples are found in churches near Knin (Biskupija and Uzdolje), Bribir (Ždrapanj and Žažvić), Solin (Rižinice) and in Split and Zadar.
Over time, the simple beauty of the symbolism of water (Life), the infinite intertwining of life forces in the union that again gives Life, has become our recognizable national symbol on ceremonial charters, coats of arms and decorations, and remains a special Croatian characteristic.

Preserved for centuries, let the troplet connect us today in Croatian unity for the future.

Croatian Adriatic

The sea…, this eternal well of inspiration and hope for artists, the daily bread of generations of Croatian people who lived with it and from it. It was their resting place, hunting ground, cradle and place of serenity for them. They sent off their captains, officers and sailors on those shores... That time is kept only in our memory, but cannot be forgotten.
Antun Mihanović (1796-1861) glorifies it in the Croatian anthem with the words: Deep blue sea tell the world that a Croat loves his homeland! So sublime and true!
Today, along with our red-white squares and National Football Team (known as The Blazers or The Checkered Ones) the world recognizes us by the beauties of our sea and cultural heritage.

How privileged are we to be here, on our own land, on the most beautiful shores of the Adriatic sea.
As the song says: To whom would our deep blue sea rustle, if not for Croatia? (M. Hrnić, 1993.)
